Shopify Store Cost Calculator (2026)

Estimate what a Shopify store costs to build in 2026 — theme, custom apps, migration and more.

How this estimate is built

The calculator adds nothing you can't see. The range is the base range for the complexity you pick, plus the features you tick, multiplied by the factor for where the team is based. Results are rounded to the nearest $500.

ComplexityMultiplierBase range, global averageTimeline
Basic / MVP×0.55$1,500 – $8,5001–3 weeks
Standard×1$3,000 – $15,0004–8 weeks
Complex / Enterprise×1.9$5,500 – $28,5002–4 months
FeatureAdds, before the location factor
Custom theme$2,500 – $8,000
Custom apps / features$3,000 – $10,000
Migration from another platform$1,500 – $5,000
Subscriptions$1,000 – $3,500
Multi-language / market$1,200 – $3,500
ERP / 3PL integrations$1,500 – $5,000

North America×1.6
Western Europe×1.35
Eastern Europe / Ukraine×0.85
Latin America×0.75
South / SE Asia×0.6

Example: a Standard store with no extra features, built by a team charging the global average, comes out at $3,000 – $15,000. Complex scope with all six features and a North American team comes out at $26,000 – $101,500.

The ranges are Vitasoft’s own editorial model, not quotes from vendors. We publish every number so you can check the model against market data and against the proposals you get.

What the estimate covers, and what it leaves out

It covers the setup and build work a partner does on Shopify with the features you tick. Shopify’s own charges sit outside it: a plan fee billed monthly or yearly, and a transaction fee on each sale if you use a third-party payment provider instead of Shopify Payments, which gets smaller on higher plans (Shopify pricing). Prices are shown in your local currency, so check them for your market. Paid apps from the app store are billed on top, and so are themes you buy rather than commission.

Open the store under your company’s account and give the partner a collaborator account, which Shopify provides for Partners and lets you limit with permissions (Shopify Help), rather than letting them own the store (who owns your code, domain and ad accounts).

How the ranges compare with market data

Clutch says most e-commerce development reviewed on its site cost less than $10,000 and that most e-commerce developers it lists charge $24–$49 an hour (Clutch, updated September 21, 2026). That’s consistent with our Basic and Standard tiers for a Shopify store. A custom theme, custom apps and ERP integrations move a project well beyond it.

Using the estimate with a real quote

If the store needs custom checkout logic, a marketplace or deep ERP work, compare it with the e-commerce website calculator and read build vs buy software. Ask for a price per feature and a written list of the apps the build depends on, with their monthly costs.
